If what most of the people believe is right and wrong would actually prevail in this world, then... we would probably all burn in hell.
Last week was very intense when it comes to people's response to the tragedy in Paris. But what surprised the most is the indifference to the pain of those who lost their family members, friends, loved ones... To some it was ANNOYING see changed profile pictures on Facebook and #PrayForParis posts. Annoying because of the lack of compassion. Yes, there were many tragedies happening in that timeframe. But do not underestimate the pain of those in Paris. If you can't have compassion, don't stop others from showing it.
Imagine someone comes to the funeral of your loved one and starts telling "Stop crying, people die everyday in other countries!"
The tragedy happened.
Romans 12 : 15 - Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.
This whole situation reminded me of the parable of a prodigal son within different circumstances. In the parable we see older son who got angry when his father rejoiced over his younger son come back. In the realities of the situation with Paris, we see people getting mad over the attention payed to those who mourned along.
Look deep inside your heart. Who are you? Father? Or the older brother?
If what we believe is right and wrong would be the TRUTH, then the lost sheep would stay lost...
God wouldn't leave 99 and look for the one, right?
SO before we say something, we should really look inside our hearts and see who speaks through it now...
