So the adventure begun!

This is real!!! We have already entered the phase of OUTREACH!!!!!
Thank you all for your prayers and support! After 24 hour trip, we arrived safely to Russia with no problems on the border. Praise God!
Soon we will start our 2-week ministry in the city of Zheleznogorsk. Can’t wait to share how great, loving, caring and just amazing our God is and excited to see what He will be doing through us here.
In 2 weeks we will head to Nepal…. SERIOUSLY!!!!!! This IS real!

There is still an urgent need of financial support for the outreach. Personally I need $700 to pay. $150 I need to pay before January 13!!!! Please pray for that as well!!

But besides all that, things are going really well and we are ready to meet the new year!

My dear friends,  I wish that this upcoming year will be exciting for you!  May you draw closer to the Lord and He will reveal His absolutely amazing love to you!

Much love and Happy New Year!!

"The world is not in your books and maps. It's out there"

3 months of the school: 1 big can of peanutbutter, 3 1/2 packages of coffee, 3  cans of nutella. And we are almost DONE!

The time has come for the adventure as Gandalf was telling about. We only have some couple weeks left in Ternopil. Soon we will engage ourselves into the calling God gave each of us a while ago.... even before the DTS started.

This is my newsletter and some explanations of what is happening :)

Hi!
So my name is Tanya Sukhareva. I’m from Kyiv. Currently I’m a student of the YWAM DTS (Discipleship Training School) in Ternopil, Western Ukraine.I have one of the best teams I could dream of. Moreover, it is multi-national (we have representatives from Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and the USA).  We are almost done with the 3-months lecture phase and now are preparing for probably the most exciting part of it all, the outreach! This will be a 12-week missionary trip to Russia and Nepal where we will share the Word of God and show hope to different nations.Through the studies and prayers God has given us the vision of where and how we can serve. Part of my team is going to Russia for all 3 months. The other part, including me, will travel to Russia for 20 days and then we go to Nepal. Originally we were planning to go to India, but God had a different plan for us, so this trip becomes a bit more challenging but with a greater purpose. For this mission trip the Lord gave us vision to work and serve in the mercy ministry for children and with Badi people who are considered to be the lowest ranking untouchable caste in Nepal.
I believe that God will use us in a very powerful way there and we will share with them the love of Christ that God has placed in our hearts. We believe that those who saw the world from its worst side can get to know this world the way God has created it. We leave in less than a month so we need your support! Please join us!Prayer support: Nothing can be done well without prayers! Please support us through prayers for the team, the nation, safe travels and the finances we need for this outreach (14500 USD in total for the team)Financial support:Also, if you feel like to support us with finances, that will be great! We would really appreciate your blessing and participation in this live-changing mission!

Thank you all!
Much love,
Tanya

It's done! Praise God!

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!

Just a second. I will explain.
I got an idea to create some sort of video with pictures and short video clips from DTS. So of course, I started doing it... My poor old computer couldn't handle it for sure. BUT I TOOK A VICTORY OVER THIS MACHINE! It was like: either you kill me or I kill you. And I did! Yaaaaay!
After 9 hours (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) of working on this thing, it is finally finished and of course, posted on Youtube :)

I'm sorry for the bad quality ahead, but I hope you'll enjoy it :)

Oh, here it comes! ....News letter

Oh wow! It’s been already 8 weeks since the DTS started. And I want to thank everyone who helped this dream to come true!

Within these 8 weeks we had learned so much about who we are and our identity in Christ, we’ve learned His names and “sides” of His character, we came closer to Him as we discovered Him as a loving Father, we found out about the gifts and talents He gave us and the dreams He wants us to dream
J So I guess you understand what I’m trying to say… This school is probably the best experience in getting to know God better!!!!  We learn to use our gifts: healing, prophesying, sharing the word of wisdom and knowledge, we practice giving, mercy and serving. Soon (in a month!!!!!) we will get a chance to practice this in other nations.

It was challenging from the beginning. Let me explain. First we were planning to go to India. But through our prayers God has showed that we need to go to Nepal! Really! This will be a challenging trip. In order to go there, we will travel to Russia first for visas (because we can’t do it in Ukraine) and will do a 20-day outreach there. So after that – the craziest adventure ever! To NEPAL!!!!!!!

Soon the verse in Matthew 28:19 will become a reality for us!!!!!!!!!!!

Now me and two of my teammates, Anya and Jordan, are working on the ministry for international students. We have guys from Nigeria, Ghana, Iraq and Poland. They are so cool and like to worship. Oh yeah, we had a lot of fun doing worship together
J Also we are planning on visiting orphans soon all together.
God is amazing and so good!

Please continue to pray for us as we prepare for the outreach and as we try to work on fundraising. Each of my team members doesn’t have money for it yet. But we learn to rely on God in every aspect!
If you would like to support me, please let me know.

Thank you all for your help and prayers!

No turkey needed

Want to congratulate all my friends who celebrate or not the Thanksgiving Day today. This is a special holiday indeed.

I'm not talking about good food right now (which of course, makes the day even more special). And please don't say something like: "I thank God everyday anyways, why do I need this holiday?!" or "I'm not an American!"
Is this an excuse to not thank God one more time?! I mean, seriously?! :)

There are billion things to be thankful for!!!!!!

Let's come today (in hearts and minds) not as bunch of individuals who are on their own but together as one body (family, friends, fellowship etc.). Let's thank the Lord today for what He has done/doing and will do for us!

I thank Lord for the life He gave me, the one I had before and especially the one as a new creation, for my family and friends all over the world, for my church which is my beloved family in Christ. And I thank the Lord for the amazing things He has prepared for each of us!!!

Love you all!

A little sunshine on a gloomy day

Oh yeah, here it comes....
Sometimes things just NOT go well... They get too much and it feels like if something more happens, you will explode. I felt this was happening with me this week. And it seems to be a normal thing to happen. Everyone goes through this... But, the problem is: how can you go throught this on a mission?!

This was an absolutely new level for me. And it needs to be explained a bit.
When you're doing something like this, people have sertain expectations from you. You NEED to be ALWAYS fine. No matter what. You NEED to be always open to people and be nice. So these are expectations. The reality is: 24/7 you're around same people, all are in one building where you actually can't find a place to stay alone. Ministries, homeworks, intensive studies, a lot of things God is changing in you personally, communication problems inside the team.. It is so easy to become overwelmed? How can you be nice to everyone when you're exhausted?! By the way, I'm not complaining right now :) haha sorry if you misunderstood me. Just trying to explain this kind of situation.

But even in through hardships God will show us His care. The only thing we need to do is to open our eyes and see it! And then - share....

1 John 4:7
Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.

God has spoken to me recently that what I do lack is noticing all the good things around when I'm facing hard times. Because it easier for us to focus on the pain instead of seeing some small goood things that we usually take for granted. And we do take A LOT OF THINGS for granted.

God, give me your eyes so I can finally see

5 weeks, 5 turning points

Just a quick review of what was happening these past 4-5 weeks...

What a big transition. Just to explain a bit: I have never been away from home more than for a month. And even then I was soooo homesick. My friend laughs and calls me "greenhouse's one" (teplichnaya). And that is true. Anyways, the big step was made and I went for a crazy adventure called DTS (Discipleship Training School) of the YWAM in Ternopil (Western Ukraine).

So I packed my stuff and got on the train. Simple as it is.

However, God took care of me even then. I've met a really nice lady on the train and she told me about Ternopil. Some people helped me to get off the train and I was nicely met by the director of the school at the train station. So blessed!

We have 11 students in the team. One from Germany, two - from the US, one from Uzbekistan, one girl from Russia, two - from Kazakhstan. Pretty diverce.

They all are very different, though, they are all awesome. I really like my team.
(But oh God, I miss my friends back home!!)

We have already studied Hearing God's Voice, Father's Heart of God, Gifts, Evangelism and One Story. Each week was revealing more and more about God's character and His will for us. Each time it was shocking, amazing, mind-exploding and blessed.

As for the ministry, I will be working with Muslim students mostly from Africa. We have some Christian African students as well. They are very open and kind. I really like them. Excited for the ministry for sure.

One more thing: we might go to Nepal for the outreach!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So please, pray for my team that God will bless us with finances and will prepare us well for this adventure! We need your prayers for sure!

Well, my last blog got somehow deleted... To be honest, I almost cried. It wasn't just a blog full of stuff like: "I went to the ... store, bought ... etc." It was mostly about God's work in my life.

Anyways, I guess it's time to start a new chapter. A new blog. And just wanted to say ahead, that my life has already changed a lot since I came to DTS in Ternopil. And it's been only 4 weeks!

So let the new adventure begin!
